Two True Heroes

Okay, I cannot think of a better way for you to spend your time on a Saturday than by watching this video. This is one of many video links to Patrick Henry Hughes on YouTube. My friend Ron Ethridge sent me the video Wednesday morning. After viewing it, I remember seeing the clip on ESPN.

I would be curious to read your reactions.

Thank you for sharing! What an amazing parallel to the relationship our Heavenly Father desires for us to have with Him. He sees our gifts and does whatever it takes to assist us in using them. The Lord tries to blind us of this world and focus our eyes on Him, but we so often choose our own eyes instead of His to look through.
There is a current movement in the world of disabilities called "Presume Competence" and it references what you should do when you encounter someone that has a disability. Instead of assuming they can't or focusing on the disability, you focus on the ability and presume competence. Thankfully- my Heavenly Father does this as well. Although I don't always give Him reason to believe I am capable, He has full trust in me that I can accomplish anything through Him.
What a great way to start my weekend- thanks!

Ryan, we serve a God of opportunity and endless power!! Thank you for posting this video to your site as I had not seen it previously.

God desires that we undertand His Amazing Grace, Unconditional Love, and His Pursuit to Make Us More Like Him! I praise God for the privilege of loving and serving my son, Matthew, a precious gift from God, which reminds me every day of the truth, "I must decrease, He must increase."
